Plug and Play and Visa Select 21 Diverse Founders to Participate in Inclusive Fintech Accelerator

Sunnyvale, Calif., January 16, 2024 – Plug and Play, the world’s largest global innovation platform, and Visa announced today the selection of 21 cutting-edge startups to participate in the Visa Inclusive Fintech Accelerator. The diverse cohort of startups will reshape the landscape of financial technology, bringing inclusivity and innovation to the forefront.

Plug and Play and Visa launched the Inclusive Fintech Accelerator last year. The program aims to foster diversity and inclusivity in the fintech sector by supporting and empowering diverse founders.

The selected startups represent a variety of fintech solutions spanning across money movement, consumer banking and lending, social and creators, and more. The cohort was chosen through a rigorous selection process considering factors, including market potential, technological innovation, and the ability to drive a positive impact in the fintech ecosystem.

The startups joining the accelerator program are:

  1. Anansii - Anansii revolutionizes small business finance starting by automating supplier credit programs, reducing manual work, and improving payment efficiency.
  2. BankWyse - BankWyse provides digital asset-qualified custody and services integrated with commercial banking, enabling safe and efficient fiat-digital transactions.
  3. Bump - Bump is an AI-driven platform empowering creators to manage micro advances, track lost revenue, qualify for micro-financing, and book live sessions with industry executives.
  4. Cadence Cash - Cadence aims to eliminate bias in the credit approval process, promoting diverse credit and financing opportunities for small businesses.
  5. CashEx - CashEx is a fee-free digital banking app for seamless money transfers.
  6. Daba Finance - Daba Finance is a unified investment platform for discovering and investing in diverse opportunities across Africa, including venture capital funds, startups, stocks, money market funds, ETFs, and more.
  7. Deposits - Deposits is a fintech platform simplifying financial modernization for banks and brands.
  8. DEUCE - DEUCE is revolutionizing financial management in the Creator Economy, offering a one-stop platform that effortlessly splits earnings for collaborative projects.
  9. Dot - Dot's solution enables African immigrant students to swiftly transition from cash to digital payments.
  10. DRUO - DRUO is a next-generation payment system that enables businesses to pay and charge any bank account, at any time.
  11. Foresight - Foresight, designed for small business lenders, increases capital access for low to moderate-income communities.
  12. Fundshine - Fundshine is designed to circumvent the fee structures associated with payday loans.
  13. GenEQTY - GenEqty, a CFO Stack platform, aids banks and fintechs in leveraging SMB data for better decision-making, offering a low-code white-label solution and APIs.
  14. KAOSHI - Kaoshi develops open-finance APIs that enable financial institutions (such as banks, credit unions, fintech, and merchant processors) to easily access cross-border financial data and embedded cross-border payments into their consumer/business applications.
  15. Korzo - Korzo Inc. is an AI advisor-tech app that offers discretionary portfolio management services.
  16. My Home Pathway - My Home Pathway, a fintech startup, is creating a novel pathway for traditionally high-risk US consumers to achieve homeownership.
  17. Paidback - Paidback is a user-friendly debt payoff app that simplifies and gamifies the repayment process.
  18. Preauth - Preauth is a collateral manager boosting credit inclusion enabling creditors to secure guarantees for their customer payment promises by pre-authorizing various debtor assets as collateral.
  19. Solvent - Solvent is a mobile-first and all-in-one banking and financial empowerment platform for the financially excluded and underserved to optimize their financial lives.
  20. Wink - Wink is a biometric identity and payments platform that simplifies user experiences with facial and voice recognition-based authentication.
  21. Yofi - Yofi is an identity platform that protects profits, ensures data integrity, and empowers decisions for genuine customers by eliminating bad actors.

Throughout the accelerator program, each startup will receive a customized curriculum and have the opportunity to collaborate with industry experts, mentors, and potential investors. This cohort will be graduating at Plug and Play’s Silicon Valley Summit on June 12, 2024.
