SUNNYVALE, Calif. - Plug and Play is excited to welcome Better Foods, a plant-forward food company, as a new corporate partner in the Food & Beverage program. Shinsegae Food, the parent company of Better Foods, is the food business arm of the South Korean retail giant Shinsegae Group.
Shinsegae Food created Better Foods, a US subsidiary to fuel the plant-forward foods initiative, stating that the US operations will support R&D and Better Food’s global expansion.
Intended to boost Shinsegae’s competitiveness in the alternative foods market, the US operations will support R&D and global expansion of the products, which currently starts with over 10 types of alternative meat products including deli slices, meatballs, sausage patties, mince, etc.
