Summit season was in full swing this year! Following our June Summit, we ended 2022 with a bang by going all out at our Silicon Valley November Summit. This time we were more pumped than ever. We’re pleased to recap the event's corporate and startup award winners.

Plug and Play’s Silicon Valley November Summit celebrated various corporations and batch startups across our 20+ industries, specifically: Enterprise Tech, Fintech, Food and Beverage, GOAL, Insurtech, IoT, Media and Advertising, Mobility,New Materials and Packaging, Retail, Supply Chain, and Travel and Hospitality.
Enterprise Tech
Red Bull is a brand of energy drinks from the Austrian company Red Bull GmbH. Since its launch in 1987, more than 100bn cans of Red Bull have been sold worldwide, including 9.8bn in 2021. Its slogan, "Red Bull Gives You Wings," is one of the most popular and memorable advertising slogans in the United States.
Fintech
The BNP Paribas Group is a top-tier European and international banking establishment that provides financing and investment protection solutions to all of its customers — individuals, associations, entrepreneurs, SMEs, large corporations, and institutions. “Thank you very much for this award and let’s keep building this partnership, let’s keep building this connection with fintech, with BNP Paribas, and this [connectivity] all over the world," said Arnaud Auger, Vice President and Deputy Head of BNP Paribas Innovation Lab Americas.

The company's strength lies in its tradition and strict adherence to the laws applied within each field they operate in.
As one of the world’s largest accounting firms, Ernst & Young, or EY, provides a wide range of professional services for international companies, including assurance, auditing, consulting, tax, and investment banking.
Food and Beverage
Mars Incorporated is a family-owned business and global manufacturer of a range of food products from candy to pet food. Mars focuses on more sustainable solutions for how they source, produce, and market their brands' products.
GOAL
Stackstream is the go-to place for tech enthusiasts and developers alike. You can find people of all skill levels talking about their favorite topics: code, bugs, and clean coding. It's a great way to learn from other users or share your knowledge with them in real-time — without any barriers whatsoever.
Insurtech
Tokio Marine is a multinational insurance holding company that provides unique tools and services to its clients. The group has extensive experience in property/casualty coverage, which they leverage through an expert staff of account executives and underwriters who are trained experts on risk management engineering from around the world.
IoT
Alfred Kärcher GmbH & Co. KG is a German family-owned company that operates worldwide and is known for its high-pressure cleaners, floor care equipment, parts cleaning systems, wash water treatment, military decontamination equipment, and window vacuum cleaners. Florian Schoebinger, Head of Kärcher Silicon Valley, said, “I think this is the result of the effort we put into open innovation. We’ve partnered with Plug and Play for four and a half years. And I see this as a result of all our effort over the past few years.”
Media and Advertising
Intango designs and executes tailored marketing solutions using its powerful AI-driven proprietary technology. They have developed an architecture that provides deep insights into targeting high-intent traffic sources and getting results-driven advertising in every channel. “A big thank you for giving us the corporate innovation award — it really means a lot to us. We look forward to another year of collaboration and inspiration with Plug and Play and all of the new startups in the network," said Peggy Mizrahi, Head of Intango Ventures, who received the award virtually.

Suzuki Motor Corporation is a Japanese multinational corporation headquartered in Minami-ku, Hamamatsu, Japan. There are few challenges as important today as creating solutions that support a cleaner, more energy-efficient world. BorgWarner made that commitment decades ago and has since been creating technologies to improve efficiency, emissions, and performance in all types of vehicles. “Plug and Play has been with us from the very beginning. Avery Dennison is a global packaging company that provides branding and information labeling solutions by designing and manufacturing a wide variety of labeling and functional materials that enhance branded packaging.
Retail
Chick-fil-A is a family-owned and privately held restaurant company dedicated to serving the local communities in which its franchised restaurants operate. It’s well-known for its original chicken sandwich made from freshly prepared food with no preservatives or artificial ingredients. “Thank you Plug and Play team, we appreciate this award and this is a testament to our partnership as we enable tomorrow today at Chick-fil-A, " said Mario Suffren, Senior Lead, Innovation and New Ventures at Chick Fil A.

Wallenius Wilhelmsen is a market leader in RoRo shipping and vehicle logistics, managing the distribution of cars, trucks, rolling equipment, and breakbulk to customers worldwide. Its purpose is to build sustainable supply chains, imagining new, more efficient solutions for the changing world of mobility and transport on land and sea. “We launch these new business models and services by moving quickly from inception to a solution using our three-step playbook of incubation, socialization, and operation,” said Hayley Roy Gill, Innovation Project Manager at Wallenius Wilhelmsen. “But first and foremost, it is the people that bring these initiatives to life. The passionate and happy teams both inside and outside of WalWil. And Plug and Play has been instrumental and matching us with key startup teams.”
Travel and Hospitality
Airbus is a leader in designing, manufacturing, and delivering aerospace products, services, and solutions to customers on a worldwide scale. Airbus builds innovative commercial aircraft and consistently captures about half of all commercial airliner orders. The company offers products that connect people and places via air and space.
