Brazil is among the largest food producers and exporters, feeding about 10% of the world's population. The country is the world's largest soy, sugar, and coffee producer, and the largest corn exporter, responsible for 50% of the world market for this grain. In 2020, the country's flagships were meat, soy, corn, cotton, and forest products. In addition, Brazil is the 4th largest producer of grains, with 7.8% of global production.The importance of agriculture and livestock for Brazil is enormous. In 2021, the sector was responsible for about 27.4% (BRL 2.38 trillion) of Brazilian GDP.
