SUNNYVALE, CA, July 12, 2023 - In cooperation with their partner LG Display, Plug and Play introduces the new Transparent OLED showcase at their HQ in Silicon Valley. The Transparent OLED delivers exciting, vivid images that extend the applications far and wide. This cutting-edge display is now located on the second floor and available for viewing for the next two months to inspire innovative startups and large corporations to develop futuristic applications in collaboration with LG Display. Plug and Play HQ was chosen for this display showcase by our partner, LG Display, due to the innovation opportunities that Plug and Play enables for companies.

Numerous industries are now grasping how Transparent OLED technology can revolutionize windows, signage, and overall space, which offers 40% transparency but retains OLED’s brilliance and paper-thin design advantage.

In 2019, LG Display first commercialized its 55-inch full HD Transparent OLED, which has since been harnessed for shopping, mobility, signage, and art. With more innovations emerging all the time, we are seeing how Transparent OLED offers a futuristic vision of new ways of living and working – helping us to see why the Transparent OLED market is expected to grow over the next decade.

Transparent OLED is emerging quickly and revolutionizing multiple industries and use cases, such as the Kwangya Universe furnished with Transparent OLED, next generation automotive displays, mobility transformations, work/home solutions, and entertainment/retail use cases.

LG Display has grown into the world's leading display company that produces and sells innovative displays equipped with differentiated technologies such as OLED and IPS for various industries and products.

The company unveiled its 55-inch OLED (Organic Light Emitting Diodes) TV panel for the first time in the industry in 2011 and became the first to manufacture it in 2013. The company has further strengthened its OLED display business with a comprehensive OLED line-up of a wide range of sizes from the world’s largest 97-inch OLED to 27-inch OLED displays and 0.42-inch OLEDoS used for VR, AR devices, as well as diverse form factors from transparent to bendable, rollable OLED displays.
