Plug and Play Plans to Launch Second Program in Chicago

CHICAGO, ILLINOIS, June 16, 2021 - Plug and Play today announced they plan to launch a second program in Chicago, Illinois later this year. At the end of 2020, Plug and Play officially launched their first Chicago location with plans to run a Food & Beverage accelerator program alongside PepsiCo, Mondelēz International, DuPont, The Hershey Company, and ADM. In addition to this program, Plug and Play also plans to run a program focused on financial services (Fintech, Health, Insurtech, and more) and are looking for five founding partners to join this new initiative.

Chicago is home to one of the Federal Reserve Banks and relies heavily on insurance, financial trading, and other similar services for the city’s economy. This new program for Plug and Play Chicago will play a major role in bringing increased visibility to local startups looking to enhance this industry. Corporate and investor partners will have the opportunity to be exposed to these new technologies through curated programs run twice per year in this location. During these three month programs, participants will also be introduced to Plug and Play’s global ecosystem and be immersed into the open innovation mindset.
