Plug and Play Launches Startup Camp Program in the EMEA Region

Plug and Play has been investing in startups from pre-seed to Series A through its in-house ventures team and Series A to B with its dedicated thematic funds. To help the best founders scale from day one, Plug and Play is launching their Startup Camp program in the EMEA region. Startup Camp acts as a catalyst for outlier early-stage founders by supporting their growth and accelerating their access to capital. Other Plug and Play investment vehicles plan to join during future rounds.

The goal is to fund great ideas and teams at the earliest stage and support their growth with dedicated mentorship, networking, and access to the world's biggest innovation platform. Additionally, founders will benefit from a dedicated ventures buddy within the firm and access to a network of over 500+ investors who have co-invested with Plug and Play.

The EMEA investment committee - Seena Amidi, Carolin Wais, Thomas Bigagli, Daniel Dilger, and Bob Rode - stands behind this initiative and will review all applications on an ongoing basis. Outstanding ideas and dynamic founders that enter the program will be valued at €1,000,000 and receive their first €50,000 check from Plug and Play for 5% equity.

The Startup Camp program was first created 15 years ago at Plug and Play's headquarters in the heart of Silicon Valley. For decades, plug and Play has been an active investor, procuring several unicorns such as Paypal, Dropbox, N26, and Honey.

"Moving into Plug and Play was one of the best decisions we made in the early days of the company," said Renaud Laplanche, Founder of Lending Club.
