    This was an innovative two days to see cutting-edge technologies and meet key players from multiple industries. 43 companies from 19 countries and 25 startups from Japan presented on stage.

    TOKYO, September 7, 2021 -- Plug and Play Japan KK (Based in Shibuya, Tokyo, CEO: Philip Vincent, hereinafter Plug and Play Japan) held a Summer/Fall 2021 Summit (Demo Day) to present the results on their 3-month accelerator program.

    The Summit Tokyo was live-streamed at Tokyo (September 2 to 3).

    About Summer/Fall 2021 Summit

    Plug and Play Japan carried out the Summer/Fall 2021 Batch from June 2021 through September 2021 across eight verticals: IoT, Fintech, Insurtech, Mobility, Brand & Retail, Health, and New Materials. With 44 official corporate partners of Plug and Play Japan, they selected 91 Japanese and international startups to participate.

    Plug and Play Japan holds Summit/EXPO at each of its locations (Tokyo, Kyoto, Osaka), and starting with the Summit Tokyo, the Summit Kyoto and the Osaka EXPO will be held on the following schedule.

    At the Summer/Fall 2021 Summit Tokyo, a total or 68 startups from six verticals (Fintech, Insurtech, Mobility, Brand & Retail, Energy, and IoT) showcased their results on the accelerator programs and displayed their cutting-edge technologies and products/services to potential investors as well as business leaders and community.
    From there, 23 startups and corporations were awarded to celebrate their achievements and great involvement to accelerate innovation and co-creation between startups and enterprises.
