About the Energy Program
The demand and the importance of innovation in the energy sector has been greater than ever as individuals have become more aware of greenhouse gas emissions worldwide since the 2016 Paris Agreement.
The Japanese government also declared that they will become carbon neutral by 2050, and they have approved the new basic energy policy until 2030, so-called “3E+S.” In the plan, they are aiming to improve the sustainable energy supply and economy with the reduction of energy cost as well as to reduce greenhouse gas by 26% until 2030 compared to 2013.
Along with the Japanese government movement, the activities for sustainability in Japanese companies has shown high aggressiveness for these years, and their needs for innovation and cutting-edge technologies has been increasing.
The goal for this Energy program will be to cultivate an ecosystem that connects corporations with startups influencing the future of the energy sector.
The Energy program will start in the Summer/Fall 2021 Batch, and its focus areas will include, but not be limited to:
● De-carbonization
● De-centralization
● Digitalization
● Deregulation
● Depopulation
● Cleantech
