Plug and Play Detroit Announces 17 Startups For Their Fourth Batch

DETROIT, MICHIGAN, August 26, 2022 -- Plug and Play Detroit has announced 17 startups that were selected for the fourth batch in their Mobility vertical program. With the Batch’s graduation in November, the main focus of this program is to allow selected startups to form relationships with Plug and Play’s global ecosystem as they facilitate opportunities for pilots, POC’s, and open dialogue for growth. Founding partners of the program include Stellantis, MMSDC, OFME, and BorgWarner.

The selected startups will have the opportunity to engage with Plug and Play's global network of corporate partners, venture capitalists, alumni, and industry leaders during the four-month-long virtual program. Of 17 selected accepted, 88% are U.S. based, and 71% are minority and/or female-founded. Differentiating Plug and Play from many other accelerator programs, equity and fees are not required from the startups. This way startups and partners are fully aligned to establish valuable long-term business relationships.

The startups, sourced by Plug and Play and voted on by partners of the program, represent a modern and cutting-edge selection of mobility allied innovations such as electric mobility, battery charging & smart grids, sensors & autonomous mobility, connectivity & in-cabin experience, and smart city technologies.
