DETROIT, MICHIGAN, October 14, 2021 -- Plug and Play Detroit announced 12 startups that were selected for the second batch of their Mobility Program, starting in early November. This program aims to facilitate opportunities for pilots, POCs, and new relationships between the selected batch startups and Plug and Play's global ecosystem. Founding partners of the program include Stellantis, MMSDC, OFME, and BorgWarner.

The selected startups will have the opportunity to engage with Plug and Play's global network of corporate partners, venture capitalists, alumni, and industry leaders during the four month long virtual program. Of the 12 startups accepted, 42% are U.S. based and minority and female founded. Unlike many other accelerator programs, Plug and Play does not require any equity or fees from the startups. This way startups and partners are fully aligned to establish valuable long-term business relationships.

The startups, sourced by Plug and Play and chosen by partners of the program, represent a broad range of new mobility related innovations focused on topics such as electric mobility, battery charging & smart grids, sensors & autonomous mobility, connectivity & in-cabin experience, and smart city technologies.
