CALGARY, ALBERTA, September 29, 2022 - Plug and Play Alberta has announced 22 startups for the second cohort of its Sector Agnostic program. This program aims to bring global innovation to Alberta by facilitating opportunities for business development, mentorship, as well as pilots and proof of concepts between the selected startups and founding partners of the program.
The startups, chosen by an Advisory Board made up of local and global organizations, represent a broad range of new innovations that focus on primarily artificial intelligence, machine learning technologies and Fintech across different industries.
“We’re excited to invite these 22 startups to participate in Batch 2 of our Plug and Play Alberta accelerator program,” said Kevin Dahl, Director for Plug and Play Alberta. “Our goal is to help fast-track impactful partnerships between these startups and our corporate partners in Alberta.”
The Plug and Play Sector Agnostic Program brings together players from all relevant industries around the world to support and accelerate artificial intelligence and machine learning across multiple sectors. Since the launch of Plug and Play Alberta in January of 2022, 15 startups have been accelerated in the Sector Agnostic program, resulting in several new partnerships and business opportunities. The second cohort represents a variety of technologies ranging from artificial intelligence to Fintech technologies.
The second 3-month program officially launched on September 7th, 2022 and will run until the next Plug and Play Alberta EXPO on November 29th and 30th, 2022 in Banff, Alberta, which marks the highly anticipated graduation of Plug and Play’s fall cohort.
