Japan Summit - Summer/Fall 2023 Batch Event Report
TOKYO, September 21, 2023 – Plug and Play Japan KK (Based in Shibuya, Tokyo, CEO: Philip Vincent, hereinafter Plug and Play Japan) held an event, “Japan Summit Summer/Fall 2023 Batch”, featuring startups selected to its accelerator program with an aim to explore the startup ecosystem in Japan and overseas on September 14th and 15th in Tokyo.
About the Japan Summit Summer/Fall 2023 Batch
Plug and Play Japan carried out the Summer/Fall 2023 Batch from June through September 2023 across eight verticals which are Fintech, Insurtech, Mobility, Health, New Materials, Smart Cities, Energy, and Food & Beverage. For this batch program, they have selected 74 startups from Japan and abroad.
At Japan Summit, 106 startups participated to give a pitch and showcase their products at the startup booth which were categorized into seven technology themes: Customer Engagement, Future of Digital, Healthcare Revolution, Industry 4.0, Operation Optimization, Smart Life, and Sustainable Horizon.
20 experts in open innovation gathered as guest speakers at 12 talk sessions over two days, with an aim to explore the startup ecosystem in Japan and overseas. The networking provided an opportunity to meet and interact with startups and audiences while experiencing the startups' cutting-edge technologies and industry insights.
At this event, the startups that received the largest number of votes from the audience and the corporate partners that provided continuous support in building and running the program were awarded. Please see below for more details.

About the accelerator program in Plug and Play Japan
