Grupo Antolin and Plug and Play join forces to boost innovation in the mobility sector

Grupo Antolin has announced its partnership with Plug and Play, the largest global innovation platform headquartered in Silicon Valley, with the aim of enlarging its open innovation ecosystem. With this agreement, Grupo Antolin gets in touch with the largest startup community in the world to collaborate in the development of new technologies and innovative solutions applied to the interior of the automobile.

Grupo Antolin will work together with Plug and Play’s platform in Spain and the Startup Autobahn program in Stuttgart (Germany) to boost open innovation in the mobility sector. Thanks to Plug and Play and Startup Autobahn, Antolin moves forward with its open innovation strategy that seeks to create a global community to foster disruptive thinking and the exchange of ideas, knowledge and technologies with which to face the challenges and transformation of the automobile industry.

Along with more than 190 other mobility institutions across Madrid, Stuttgart, Silicon Valley, Paris, Shanghai, and Tokyo, Grupo Antolin will join Plug and Play's global ecosystem, leveraging the platform to support its strategy to lead the transformation of the automotive industry from inside the vehicle.

“The vehicle is becoming more and more a living space, where users want maximum safety, comfort, entertainment and quality. The technology needed to meet these demands goes far beyond what the automotive industry can offer. Therefore, we are building an international ecosystem of innovation in continuous expansion through collaboration with Technology Centers, startups and strategic partners both inside and outside the automotive industry. Thanks to Plug and Play, Antolin will get in touch with key players in the industry and will be aware of the latest developments in technology and the most disruptive trends in innovation worldwide”, said Jesus Pascual Santos, CEO of Grupo Antolin.

“It is wonderful to have Grupo Antolin join our innovation platform and we look forward to working together with them to shape the future of mobility and smart cities, through a connected and sustainable way. Our goal is to support the innovation community through meaningful startup-corporate collaboration and working with Grupo Antolin means integrating new innovation perspectives into our global ecosystem”, said Saeed Amidi, CEO of Plug and Play.

Plug and Play is a global innovation platform that connects startups, corporations, and investors throughout the world. Such introduction implies that both startups and partner corporations can thrive together through investments, pilots, and mutual growth. The Startup Autobahn Program, focused on Mobility and founded in 2016, has helped its 29 partners, including Daimler and Porsche, develop more than 320 pilot projects and has locations in China, India, and Singapore.
