We are honoured to bring Plug and Play to Istanbul together with MEXT and host together our Second Focus Week. Based in Istanbul, our open innovation platform is designed to shape the 4th Industrial Revolution. We are building an inclusive ecosystem to foster the collaboration and exchange of experiences among corporations, startups, and institutions.

Our Partner: MESS (Turkish Employers Association of Metal Industries) is the first and one of the biggest employers’ Association in Turkey established in 1959. MESS supports development of 250 member companies leading the metal industry in Turkey, that is a major industrial hub at the intersection of Europe, the Middle East and Asia. One of the most important division of MESS; MEXT is the World’s Biggest Digital Transformation and Capability Building Center located in İstanbul. MEXT Technology Center is an output of a passion to adopt the ongoing industrial and digital transformation in the related sectors and add value to the society and the economy as a whole

During a Program we have several Virtual Focus Weeks, covering one or more specific Topics (e.g. Smart Robotics, Industrial AI, etc.) and always hosted by MESS and Plug and Play Istanbul. During a Focus Week, you can join informative formats like Deep Dives, Meetup and Workshops.

While during Focus Week One we turned our attention to cutting-edge sensor technologies that can not only connect the shop-floor assets but can also generate useful data and provide visibility into manufacturing performance, during Focus Week II we will take it one step further with software tools that can integrate and orchestrate data coming from many different sources in the manufacturing ecosystem. In addition, we will also focus on advanced analytics technologies such as edge computing or fog computing. Stay tuned for 3 days jam packed with startup innovation, industry insights and keynotes.

Public is our Meetup on Day II: The so called Meetups (invite only) are hosted by Plug and Play and MESS and are open to all of the MESS Members as well as selected attendees for an exciting gathering on the tech topic of the week.

Out of the current situation the format has been redesigned in the virtual space. Now all partners are invited along with the selected startups, to be part of a virtual tech evening.

The event is divided into a 60 to 90-minute tech content stream including startup presentation and tech experts insights as keynotes.
