As the COVID-19 virus forces the world's population to stay at home, consumption has drastically shifted online - In only one day, brands and retailers had to focus all of their efforts on e-commerce activities. This triggered instant internal reorganization, ranging from operations, logistics and digital platforms, with one major constraint: respecting social distancing.
Whereas e-commerce players selling essential goods, such as groceries, had to ensure they could provide access to vital products, players that offer non-essential goods had to focus on generating revenue through the only remaining sales channel: e-commerce.
This Webinar will feature a panel discussion by corporate partners at Lafayette Plug and Play, Plug and Play’s Retail innovation platform in Paris, followed by startups pitching solutions that are supporting retailers in these endeavours. The panel will focus on the drastic reorganisations undertaken to adapt amid this situation, the preparation of the progressive return from lockdown as well as the role of e-Commerce in the post-COVID-19 “New Normal” world.
