A global vision

Plug and Play Sustainability was launched in the heart of Silicon Valley in 2019. In collaboration with the Alliance to End Plastic Waste, we launched the End Plastic Waste Innovation Platform with the goal of ending plastic waste across the entire value chain, from design to end-use. We have accelerated 153 startups across seven hubs in the following:

• Paris
• Riyadh
• Singapore
• São Paulo
• Johannesburg
• Shanghai
• Tokyo

In 2020, Plug and Play and the Alliance to End Plastic Waste established a partnership together to accelerate innovation in the circular economy with the mission of bringing emerging technologies to the forefront to help end plastic waste in the environment. Together we have launched startup accelerator programs in Silicon Valley, Paris, Singapore, Shanghai, Tokyo, Sao Paulo, and Johannesburg.

Over the last 3 years, this program with the AEPW, the AEPW member companies, and the 153 batch startups has created over 220 pilots, helped deploy $185M in capital to the startups, and created one of the largest litter cleanup campaigns in the world."
