The Sam M. Walton College of Business, founded at the University of Arkansas in 1926, has been ranked as a top 30 public business school for 15 years in a row by U.S. News & World Report. Four Walton College graduates serve as CEO of Fortune 500 companies and nearly 30 Walton alumni occupy executive offices at Fortune 500 companies. In 1998, the Walton Family Charitable Support Foundation gave the Walton College an endowment of $50 million, at that time the single largest up-front cash gift to a business school.
