With that in mind, we spent much of 2018 improving your proximity to our platform, services, and members wherever you are in the world. With more companies invested in and accelerated, more private dealflow sessions, and bigger and better events, we are making strong progress towards being your ultimate innovation platform.

Our Global Footprint

One of our greatest ambitions is to make our ecosystem accessible wherever you are. With offices across the world, we're proud to be the world's largest innovation platform by geographic reach.

New programs

As part of our goal to make innovation open to everyone, everywhere, we have been hard at work expanding our platform into new industries and new locations.

We hosted 792 events in our Silicon Valley HQ this year.

We host events every day at our headquarters that range from our Summits (over 1,000 people) to our industry-themed meetups.

We accelerated 30% more startups in the U.S. this year.

With the popularity of our existing verticals, we introduced 2 new programs in Silicon Valley this past year: Enterprise 2.0 and Real Estate & Construction.

We also accelerated a record number of startups outside of the U.S. too.

We hosted 12% more startup-corporate dealflow sessions in 2018.

Our dealflow sessions match the technology interests and business objectives of our corporate partners to startups that are providing a world-class solution.

Our average check size grew by 28% in 2018.

As one of the most active VCs in Silicon Valley, our goal is to fund the teams that are building the defensible businesses of the future.

We invested 72% in the US and 28% in other regions.

Our investments are reflecting our growing global presence. A quarter of our total investments in 2018 were made in international companies.

12 of our portfolio companies had exits.

The largest of our portfolio exits this year came from Guardant Health's IPO that raised $273.1 million and valued the company at $1.59 billion.
