Plug and Play Internship Program
Plug and Play Tech Center team is very passionate about helping entrepreneurs grow their businesses and become globally successful companies. We are always looking for interns and talent to add to our team.
Summer internship program details (June through August):
The review process:
- Submit your resume and cover letter no later than April 19th directly to Olga: olga [at] plugandplaytechcenter [dot] com
- After reviewing the candidates we will set up individual short 15-20 minute phone calls with exceptional candidates between April 19th and May 3rd
- After individual calls, all candidates will be notified by email as to their status (accepted or denied)
- Once the selection process is completed, we will host a mandatory orientation meeting with the whole group at Plug and Play Tech Center Sunnyvale (main headquarters) the first week of June and then consecutively first week of July and first week of August for those interns that will not be spending the whole summer with us.
Information we are looking for in your resume and cover letter:
- Basic Information (Name, address, etc.)
- Educational background
- Organizations affiliation (if any)
- Past entrepreneurial experiences/work experiences
- Cover letter should show us what you can contribute to the unique ecosystem Plug and Play has created.
What we look for in an intern:
- Passion and excitement for a high tech entrepreneurial world
- Ability to work independently and take initiative and ownership of any work/task assignment given
- Creativity, flexibility and efficiency
- Practical skills in digital marketing, copywriting, design, analytics, and communications are a big plus
- Areas of interest including: mobile, digital media, entrepreneurship, international and global business development, gaming are also very helpful.
What does it mean to be an intern at Plug and Play Tech Center:
- The work is done on a project to project basis
- You will work with our various divisions (international, corporate, funding, real estate) depending on your background and areas of interest and our need
- You will be assigned to report to one person within the division
- You and the rest of the intern group will be required to meet at least once a week to report on your activities thus far to either the CEO of Plug and Play or an general intern manager assigned for the summer
- You will be required to go on several tours at Plug and Play Tech Center and attend some of the networking events that happen at Plug and Play Tech Center to increase your understanding of our ecosystem
Compensation:
- Compensation would be on a bonus per project basis
- You will need to create a report and a presentation at the end of your internship (even if it’s just a week) in order to get paid
- Your bonus will depend on the amount of time you have worked, completeness of your project, actual contribution to the profitability and overall improvement of the company
On-going internship all year round:

- Please let us know your availability (hours) and when you can start
- We will be able to get back to you within one week to setup a follow up call
- Afterwards if we still think you are a good fit, you will be invited for an in person interview
- If you are selected, we will start right away and will have an initial orientation to discuss what your project is and the rest of the details

What we look for in an intern for our year round internship:
- Passion and excitement for a high tech entrepreneurial world
- Ability to work independently and take initiative and ownership of any work/task assignment given
- Creativity, flexibility and efficiency
- Practical skills in digital marketing, photoshop, graphic design, copywriting, design, analytics, experience with email campaigns, previous experience with PR and communications are a big plus
- Strong interest and knowledge of: mobile technologies; international high tech/IT markets, specifically Asia and Middle East; cloud systems/computing; CRM and campaign management systems; social networking and digital media; database management/creation
What does it mean to be an intern at Plug and Play Tech Center on an ongoing basis:
- The work is done on a project to project basis
- You will work with our various divisions (international, corporate, funding, real estate) depending on your background and areas of interest and our need
- You will be assigned to report to one person within the division
- You will be required to go on several tours at Plug and Play Tech Center and attend some of the networking events that happen at Plug and Play Tech Center to increase your understanding of our ecosystem
Compensation:
- Our ongoing internships are part time only, and will be for school credit and the opportunity to gain valuable and practical skills and knowledge, as well as an opportunity expand your personal network of entrepreneurs, venture capitalists, mentors, corporations and international entities
- This would also allow a student to meet startup companies that might potentially hire the student after their work with Plug and Play has commenced or once graduated if still a good fit an opportunity to become a full time employee.
