Plug and Play Japan Summer/Fall 2022 Batch

TOKYO, Japan, June 1, 2022 - Plug and Play Japan KK (Japan office: Shibuya-ku, Tokyo, Representative: Phillip Vincent, Hereinafter "Plug and Play Japan") has selected 66 startups from Japan and overseas for its Summer/Fall 2022 Batch accelerator program, which will be carried out from June to September 2022. The startups selected by 48 corporate partners will join one of the following programs:

    • Fintech
    • Insurtech
    • Mobility
    • Food & Beverage
    • Health
    • New Materials
    • Energy

The selection ratio in this batch of startups was 47% from Japan with 31 startups and 53% from overseas with 35 startups. Startups overseas come from various countries such as the U.S., U.K., Canada, India, Spain, and more. During the program, the chosen startups will have full access to various events and seminars that assist their business development such as business-matching meetings, networking events, mentoring sessions, workshops, and more. There’s no equity requirement for startups to participate.

By the end of the program, all selected startups are expected to present their accomplishments at Plug and Play Japan's Summit, or Demo Day, in Tokyo and Kyoto. Demo Day is the final step of the accelerator program where startups give pitches outlining their results from the program. It’s an opportunity to get the latest updates on innovative technologies, meet cutting-edge startups, and develop new business partnerships.
