Our equity investments deliver innovative technology to the global transportation sector.
GM Ventures' investment strategy includes growth-stage companies with focus on the areas of automotive cleantech, infotainment, advanced materials, and other automotive-related technologies.

Interests include:

AUTOMOTIVE CLEANTECH
Technologies related to the greening and electrification of the vehicle; e.g., electric vehicle fuel cell technology, emission controls, motors, smart grid vehicle energy efficiency technology, etc.

INFOTAINMENT
Technologies including vehicle HMI, voice recognition, in-vehicle advertising, cloud services, integration of personal devices, etc.

ADVANCED MATERIALS
Material technologies that can provide efficiency, performance, cost, mass, and/or environmental benefits to the vehicle; e.g., light-weight materials, eco-friendly materials, materials with phase changing characteristics, etc.

OTHER AUTOMOTIVE-RELATED TECHNOLOGIES
Innovations that address unmet consumer needs or solve technological challenges; e.g., advanced sensors to enable autonomous driving, safety features, etc.

VALUE CHAIN / BUSINESS MODEL
Alternatives to the traditional automotive business model, opportunities to leverage our technology, and assets to capture up or down stream revenue opportunities.
