Obama's CTO Aneesh Chopra Visits Plug and Play

Aneesh Chopra, America's first CTO (Secretary of Technology), visited the Plug and Play Tech Center on Saturday. While at Plug and Play, he gave a short impromtu talk and fielded questions from the Plug and Play community (which we recorded). We enjoyed having him at Plug and Play and look forward to working with him in the future.

In an effort to further serve our startup community, we have teamed with NN4D to build a developer outreach program focused heavily on educating and supporting mobile and web entrepreneurs. We invite the Plug and Play community to engage with NN4D at these events to learn more about location-based services (LBS) technology.

Plug and Play Exploring Chicago Expansion: Finding the next Groupon (Chicago Sun-Times)

The Chicago-area high-tech community, home to 25 meet-up and incubator groups dedicated to nourishing the next Groupon, Google or Microsoft, has attracted a Silicon Valley-based incubator intent on cultivating 50 companies, creating up to 1,400 high-paying technology jobs and raising $100 million in venture capital in its first two years.

To position itself as a Midwestern hub, Plug and Play Tech Center is seeking 50,000 to 100,000 square feet of space near downtown Chicago.

And that’s just for starters.
