Farm to Table
Food Waste & Sustainability in Europe
In Europe, 20% of food produced is wasted. Valued at over €140 billion, this waste is roughly equivalent to the entire economy of Hungary (and almost the economy of Greece)!
Climate change, inefficient resource allocation, preventable hunger, and malnutrition are just some of the additional consequences related to this problem.
Everyone - from farm to table - has the potential to help reduce food waste. Technology not only allows us to change the way we produce, process and manufacture food but also the way we make it available across the entire supply chain.
Plug and Play invites you to join us as we dive deeper into our European food waste problem and explore ways in which startups can help tackle this issue. In this event, we will bring together industry leaders and successful entrepreneurs to share their knowledge and present some of the cutting-edge solutions to this problem.
