Omer Gozen

Omer Gozen is a Partner at Plug and Play Tech Center with a diverse background in materials science and project engineering and management. Omer joined Plug and Play as the Vice President of New Materials & Packaging in 2017. Since then, he has built a global team of 30 people, supervised 12 startup accelerator programs that sourced 2000+ startups and created 200 pilot projects.

Omer has since expanded his expertise into the sustainability, food and beverage, agtech, and animal health industries. As an active adviser and investor, he helped spearhead the global business expansion in the US, EMEA and LATAM regions.

Omer holds a B.S. in Chemical Engineering from Boğaziçi University. He then acquired a M.S. and Ph.D in Chemical and Biomolecular Engineering from North Carolina State University where he gained an expertise in nano‑composite material R&D with potential applications in self‑healing, information imprinting, impact absorbents, photovoltaics and biomedical devices. He then went on to achieve an MBA in Global Business/ Strategy and Entrepreneurship from the University of Michigan's Stephen M. Ross School of Business where he was a project lead and business initiator between the Ross School of Business and Bridgestone Americas.
